Reminded of the simple things

This may seem like a weird association- but bear with me....

Last night we re-sealed our limestone slab that is our bathroom counter. We've been meaning to do it for months and I finally put my foot down and said-Let's just do it. This means that for 72 hours, we can't use the sink. We probably could be careful and use it, as long as we didn't put any type of staining material down...but we are being extra super duper safe and not using it for 3 days.

That means that we've moved all bathroom acoutrements to the kitchen sink. For some reason, when I was brushing my teeth this morning in the kitchen, I got this feeling of being thankful that I have a sink to spit in. It was almost like I felt that I (and most people), needed to be taken out of my routine (or brought down a notch) to remind me of how good I've got it. It was different, and a thought that has obviously stayed with me just about all day, so I figured I'd write about it.
