We are doing a lot more driving the past 2 days than we did before. In fact, I think we would probably just go driving with no destination in mind if we couldn't think of anything. It just feels good to be driving the new (used ) car. David has done most of the driving so far, but I'll get to have some fun driving too. I asked him the other day, "so, which of us will be the first to get a speeding ticket in this fun new car?" He answered- "It is not going to be me". And yet, it is hard not to have a little "fun" when driving.
In other news, the melons here are really ripe and yummy right now. We bought a honeydew and cantaloupe last night (we needed a reason to drive the car), and I cut them up, and they were wonderful. Very juicy and flavorful. Go out and git you some!
I've got car on the brain, so not much more I can write about right now. EXCEPT... Can't wait for Harry Potter to be delivered. Although we decided that David gets to read it first, and I can read Dan Brown's Deception Point first. But I have to get through Lady Chatterley's Lover first. I thought D.H. Lawrence had some classic books I needed to read so I bought 2 of them at the big seattle public library book sale. And even though this book is interesting, it isn't really holding my attention all that well. But I need to finish it so I can start something better. I no longer read 3 books at a time like I used to in grade school.

well that's a relief about the whole 3 books at once thing. i think one month it included the silence of the lambs, "alaska," and the bible, all at once.
yeah for simplification!
Emily- I remember those days well! I just couldn't decide what I wanted to read. Good memories.
And Will--I didn't realize you had a little garden! that is awesome! Go Mr. Horticulture!
