the "new" office

As you already know, David and I spent this past weekend working on the ceiling in our office.  Saturday we scraped down the popcorn texture, lightly sanded the ceiling and then mudded the ceiling in places where there were issues.  Then we had all day sunday to wait for the mud to dry before we could sand it down for painting.  David did most of the sanding on sunday.  I got out of most of it by going to the grocery, returning the video, and walking maggie.  Then we put one coat of drywall primer and sealer up on sunday night.  Monday we painted another coat of primer on the ceiling, waited for it to dry, then put up a finish coat of ceiling paint.  We also repainted the walls in the office yesterday and we put up the trim along the ceiling.  All that is left to do is to finish painting the closet doors, do some touch-ups and then move our stuff back inside.

We pretty much got it all done in 3 days.  when we moved everything out of the office to do all this work we realized how much stuff we had jam-packed into the office.  So, we decided to rent a storage space.  It is only about 3 blocks away from us.  It took such a load off to know that we were able to move some of that stuff out to give us some breathing room.  Ahhh...  Well worth the money.
