Hello everyone. David and Maggie are napping and I'm feeling like I've got a ton of energy --weird, right?-- and so I thought I'd post. I took a picture of maggie taking her nap on the bathroom floor. She always naps there when she is feeling hot because the tile stays nice and cool.
I also took a picture of David napping that I won't post because he would get mad at me for posting something like that. I guess I would get mad if he posted a picture of me sleeping. But he looks so cute in the picture!!!
We steam cleaned the living room carpet this morning while maggie was at the groomers. I think it looks much better, but David can't really tell that much of a difference. I can't wait to clean the bedroom and office carpets when we finally take the rest of the popcorn ceiling down. I think for me, cleanliness is energizing.
The other picture is of some beautiful calla lilies. Our neighbor who we cat-sit for gave them to us for being "on-call" to look after the cats. She had no idea that the color was almost exactly the color of my wedding flowers--and they were calla lilies too! When I saw them outside our door, I thought it was a gift from David or a parent or someone thoughtful....but instead it was the perfect arrangement from someone who had no idea what raspberry colored calla lilies mean to me. AND, our 2 year anniversary is coming up in a little over a week, so it was perfect timing! Actually it is a plant, so I'll have to look up how to care for lilies so that I can keep them alive for many anniversaries to come. David sounded sheepish when I told him over the phone that we got the arrangement. He said he would have come up with the idea eventually. I believe him. It is just a matter of the definition of "eventually". ;-)
