We went to David's boss' island cabin over the weekend. It was wonderful as usual. And it doesn't cost us much other than gas to drive to the marina and boarding for Maggie. The weather was great, and we spent some time on the beach, did some walks/hikes in the woods, and were just plain lazy. People were reading books, magazines, playing sudoku etc. and everyone was responsible for a different meal. We prepared Saturday night dinner for 10 people, with much help from others. I get stressed when I have to cook on the spot for that many people, especially because it isn't my kitchen so it is hard to feel comfortable with things. We had jamaican jerk seasoned shrimp, scallop and chicken Kabobs, a pineapple relish, pasta with tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and kalamata olives, and for dessert we had fresh raspberries and blueberries topped with freshly whipped lemon curd cream. Very yummy. All the other meals were wonderful as well--I definitely think I ate more than my share this weekend!
Today back to the land of the working. arghh.

Sounds like you are turning or already are quite a gourmet cook. The meal really sounded great...lucky for all the other people at the "cabin".
Love,
Dad
Thanks Dad- it was pretty tasty- as were the other meals last weekend. I ate way too much!
