Tax cuts for the wealthy

Here is a great cartoon by David Horsey that David sent to me today. I haven't yet been able to get a good explanation on why tax cuts for the wealthy help the vast majority of americans.
Okay, Okay, I know I can be a 'bleeding heart' sometimes, but how can we cut services for those who need it most, at the same time we give money back to the people who need it least?

I'm home sick today--My cold and I battled all last night for who would have control of my body. I think I won out around 2:40 am. I've been sleeping all day to give my body more energy to heal. I'll get to bed early tonight too.
