I'm leaving work in 7 minutes, so I need to make this quick...
Happy New year to everyone! I hope you all celebrate in the way most fitting for you. David and I will probably stay home, but may take a walk with maggie to see the fireworks at the space needle around midnight. Depends on the weather. A co-worker gave me a bottle of champagne, so I'm going to find a good champagne cocktail recipe. Bellini's are great-but peaches really aren't in season, so I'm going to look for something else.
Any favorites?

I have a block against drinking mimosas in the evening. I think I've been conditioned to only drink them in the a.m.
We tried something called Champagne Punch. It combines pineapple juice, some lemon juice and sherbet (the recipe called for pineapple sherbet, but we used orange) I think the orange and pineapple combo was maybe better than the pineapple, pineapple combo. It was really yummy. Made drinking the champagne easy. Good story about the black velvet!
