a few pics of our remodel

Here are a few pics I have been meaning to post.

I had to post one picture of our new lawnmower---It is great. so quiet and non-polluting!

The infamous Honey Bucket in our driveway.

The sub-floor in the kitchen after ripping up the plywood and layers of linoleum this weekend.

Kitchen plumbing for the sink and dishwasher. We also ripped out the drywall this weekend in the bathroom and kitchen.

Kitchen with no drywall.

Other side of the kitchen without drywall.

This is our plumbing in the bathroom for the sink.

I know it is not that exciting to see these pictures, but it will be even better when we are done and I post some before and after photos.

Liz and David!
It is good to see the pictures. We've "been there-done that!" Our kitchen was down to cinder block and we just loved living out of boxes! Fortunately we never had to go without a bathroom-we did one bathroom at a time. Good Luck and keep posting those pics!
Love,
Ann

The lawnmower isn't that much work, actually. David went out last night after work and was done in like 40 minutes. It does usually take 2 passes in different directions, but it is easy to push. You only need to rake if there is really tall grass. And, actually, you can't use the mower if you let your grass grow too tall because it won't catch it between the blades. Also, Leaving some grass is good for thatching. 0f course, David knows much more of this than I do because he has been the primary person doing the work. But I have done some mowing! It is fun!

As for our rad dyke plumber... She was pretty good. She got the job done on time and was fun to talk to in person. She even did a demonstration with a blowtorch and a piece of the PEX piping she used. it was pretty cool.
