Seriously, I never thought I would be this excited about the opening of a clothing store! Seattle has opened 3 H&M stores in the area in the last 2 months. The downtown store opened today and people started lining up at midnight to be first in line (and to get a chance to get a gift card worth $500 or $50 or $10).
An H & M opened last friday in University Village which is just hop skip and a jump away from my office. And it has been open for a week now. And I hadn't been yet! So, today, I convinced a co-worker to go with me to lunch at U village and browse around H & M. It was sort of overwhelming and I didn't buy anything. There were lines at the dressing rooms and since it was my lunch hour I didn't have time to try on anything. I am a little worried that all their pants are going to fit women who look like boys (no hips). They have some really cute stuff and super good prices- so I know I'll be buying something soon. I need to go in the AM when there isn't a line for the dressing room and I can try on lots of different types of pants.
**sidenote- a pant rant: Aren't most women pear shaped? I am pear shaped. I don't know the percentages, but I thought there were more pear shaped women than apple shaped women. Why don't companies make pants for women with curves?????? This is a continual frustration for me, and I refuse to buy pants and have them tailored to take the waist in so they will fit.**
