Got a call from the vet--the surgery went well, and we are going to pick her up in about 45 minutes. We won't find out about the malignancy for 10-14 days. But for now, Maggie made it through!

Glad to hear Maggie made it through surgery & now can rest with you at home. Did the vet indicate anything? Our vet told us Belle's growth looked benign to him-BUT we had to wait to make sure. I know some vets wouldn't want to make a statement & then find out differently.... I'm hoping all will be well. Belle has a "wart" like growth on her head-so I guess we'll have to call our vet, too. Let us know how things are going!
thank you both for your kind wishes. She is still wearing a sock on her foot, and she won't leave it alone--she just has to lick it. And her cone is not stopping her. frustrating. We go through at least a few sock changes a day.
