Danskin is over and I did better than last year..only looking at unofficial times but I'll know for sure how much better in a day or so.
I had been worried about the cold water in lake washington but it was not too bad. I made sure that I got wet before the race started--took my breath away. Better to have it happen then instead of the race start.

Congrats Liz, that's awesome. Brittany and I did our first ever triathlon on Saturday. (Sprint distance.) We're happy to have our first one under our belt, and looking forward to doing more in the future.
Excellent! I know what you mean about getting losing your breath when you hit the water. I'm a strong swimmer, but as soon as I start the swim I have a couple minutes of difficult breathing that really throws off my time. Good idea to get wet first (usually I can do that for open water, pool swims don't usually allow it). Any more races coming up?
I do have one more race- it is a super-sprint. Same race as the one I did in July. I actually signed up for the "beat your time" category where you do both races and try to beat your time (duh!). But I don't think I'll be doing any more after that. David just got a bike though, so we'll probably be heading out on some fun rides soon, which will keep my "sit" bones from de-calcifying or whatever it is that makes it hurt when you ride your bike after not riding it for awhile. ;-)
