okay- the few sentences everyday is not working. I just don't feel like I have the time for it. I just drew up my calendar and I have about 50 weeks until I would need to defend the dissertation. When you look at it all on one page it is kind of scary!
I think right now I've got to figure out the timeline for getting chapters out and work backward from there.
It is not that I'm not working on the chapters, but that I just can't seem to do a little bit everyday. Maybe that advice is for people who don't have full time jobs?

maybe...not working, yet. but i know that you can totally do this, liz. even if it means approaching it differently that you initially thought or not being perfect. maybe it would help to think in terms of drafts, process, etc. rather than focus on the final product right now?
Thanks monkey...I appreciate your support.
I agree with Emily. I was never a work a bit her, work a bit there sort. I tend to do better working in bursts. Gather up a bunch of information. Let it stew in my mind. Analyze it all. Let the results tumble around. Write it all up. Rinse and repeat.
(This post obviously suffers from a lack of single cohesive metaphor, but I think you get the point).
You will be amazing. You always are.
