This morning was a pretty bright but with diffused light so I took a few more pictures of the outside. There are also some additions in these photos that weren't in the last ones.

I couldn't resist adding a photo of sam sitting nicely for me.

The back yard with Sam for scale.

Here you can see the new vegetable garden fence David installed to keep sam out of my veggies. I was going to mix in compost this weekend and hopefully plant some seeds.

This is how much vegetable garden space I have....plenty!

And here is the 'fence' we installed. Just simple metal- enough to keep Sam and his friends from escaping the yard when they play.

And here is the new neighbor's fence. You can see it stops at the back of their house, just to the left of the 2nd arborvitae.

You need to post the two silly photos of Sam!
I love your backyard. The fence looks nice; we've thought of a privacy fence along our side yard.
I'd love to have my yard looking like yours! We need to do something with ours.
Ann- thank you so much for the compliment. It certainly took us ALOT of work to get it to this point. And we plan to do even more in the next few weeks. I think working in the yard is a bit like therapy for both David and me. Last night I just couldn't bring myself to do work another weeknight, and so I went out and started weeding the front 'yard' and it just felt so good to do something and be able to see the fruits of your labor. We have seriously been neglecting the front yard, but I think we'll be doing some work on in this summer.
I want to come out and see it in person and meet my new grandoggy too! It's beautiful! Hugs, Mom
